Welcome new Team2 Member Tim Coleman!
Hi Team2,
My Name is Tim Coleman. I am an Independant Agent representing Aflac. I have run my own agency for 6 months. I came to Logan, UT 2 years ago, while working with Qwest Communications as a Customer Service Manager and Corporate Trainer for 5 years. Prior to that I work for AOL, GATEWAY Computers, CitiBank, Intel and the US Air Force. The vast majority of my experience is in Customer Service and Sales Management and Training. With Aflac,I provide supplemental insurance, mostly through employers with 3 or more employees. This allows the employees to own their own policies which pays claims directly to them with cash benefits, at no cost to the employer, however, as a group, employees receive about a 30% DISCOUNT on premiums through payroll deduction. I’m glad to be a part of the Team2 Team. There is great value in referrals from strong business alliances.

Ideas to find guests to attend Team 2
* Mine the chamber of commerce.
* Send an email to your contacts.
* Create a Facebook / MySpace page for the group.
* Weekly video of our group on the web (Youtube).
* Make stickers for our cars.
* Make an invitation card to hand out.
* Invite people you know, work with, that would complement someone’s profession in the group.
* Print business cards with meeting time and location or a greeting card sent through Sent Out Cards.
* Assign an occupation for someone in the group to invite to the next meeting.
* Visit Vendor Fairs.
* Offer to buy guest breakfast.
* Invite people that provide services to your business.
* Email prospective guests an invitation.
* Webpage.
* Car door magnets advertising Team 2.
* Have a Team 2 booth at vendor fairs.
* Invite friends to the group.
* Send substitutes – if you cannot attend. Clients who would be good in the group are great.
* Send out an email listing of everyone in the group stating that you know and trust them and invite the person to come to a meeting.
* Build up relationships with each other. Then it is easier to attract quality guests.
* Talk to others about the value of team 2 and your meetings.
* Visit county fairs and business expos.
Thanks Michael!

Networking Insider Notes

Network Insider Notes
from the desk of Kirk Duncan
When a business wants to advertise and they spend the money to place a commercial on TV there is quite a bit of time put into the words that will be said and the way the presentation comes across. In my networking experience of watching people stand and deliver their individual 60 second commercials I have found 3 parts that most people forget to add to their presentation.
1. ASK. People slip into a rut of telling everyone what they do and they don’t ask for referrals. Remember the elementary school teachers who taught us that if need something we can ask for it. Same rules apply here. If you want it, ask for it. If you want referrals, ask for referrals.
2. 60 seconds is 60 Seconds. Don’t go over time. It looks really bad! This does not help your message. Look sharp and deliver your message in the correct amount of time. Watch TV, no one goes over their purchased amount of time.
3. PRACTICE! Practice before you get to the meeting. Iron out your words. Tape record yourself. How does it sound? Could you change a couple words to be more inviting, or more positive or speak up louder? It is very important that you know how you sound so that you can adjust it when needed. Be loud a clear in your commercial.
Awesome! Follow these 3 steps this next couple of weeks and watch your success improve.
Thank you!
